OMGWTFBBQHAX!!

Yeah, the movie of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is coming out on a 13th. So? I just realized that it is coming out on a Friday. So? I, too, just realized that it is coming out on a Friday the 13th. So...?

Now, wait a moment...

Friday the 13th, you say...!?

OMGWTFBBQHAX!

In addition to variations on punctuation-based emphasis, it is common to combine two (or more) words and capitalize them to show emphasis. Perhaps most common would be the combination of OMG and WTF to produce OMGWTF. For irony or excitement, some will then add ancillary SMS phrases to the end (i.e. OMGWTFBBQHAX!). This ending generally has the same meaning as the saying “..with gravy,” commonly added to the end of sentences. This creates OMGWTFBBQHAX, meaning, “Oh my god; what the f*** (with added emphasis)?.”

Sucks to be those people with paraskavedekatriaphobia.

Strengths of the Straw Hat Pirates II

This blog entry is a continuation of blog entry Strengths of the Straw Hat Pirates, with reference to the new bounties listed as on blog entry One Piece Manga Chapter 435.

Formerly, with only three out of the seven Straw Hats having bounty, it is difficult to rank them accordingly to bounty. Now that all seven of them have a bounty, we shall include that in our analysis to see who is stronger and who is weaker.

Of course, the bounty ranking, like the list of enemy defeated ranking, is not accurate. No way can Chopper be weaker than Usopp/Sogeking. No way in hell, man.

Luffy - 300 million Beli
Zoro - 120 million Beli
Robin - 80 million Beli
Sanji - 77 million Beli
Sogeking - 30 million Beli
Nami - 16 million Beli
Chopper - 50 Beli

So the list would be:

1st: Luffy
2nd: Zoro
3rd: Robin
4th: Sanji
5th: Usopp/Sogeking
6th: Nami
7th: Chopper

Including the three lists:

1st: Luffy
2nd: Robin
3rd: Zoro
4th: Nami
5th: Sanji
6.5th: Usopp/Chopper

1st: Luffy
2nd: Zoro
3rd: Sanji
4th: Chopper
5th: Robin
6th: Nami
7th: Usopp

1st: Luffy
2nd: Zoro
3rd: Sanji
4th: Chopper
5th: Nami
6th: Robin
7th: Usopp/Sogeking

If we find the average of the three numbers each character has:

Luffy = (1+1+1+1)/4 = 1
Zoro = (2+3+2+2)/4 = 2.25
Sanji = (4+5+3+3)/4 = 3.75
Robin = (3+2+5+6)/4 = 4
Nami = (6+4+6+5)/4 = 5.25
Chopper = (7+6.5+4+4)/4 = 5.38
Usopp = (5+6.5+7+7)/4 = 6.375

Since the lower the number, the stronger that person is, we can infer that:

Luffy, being the Captain, still remains the strongest.
Zoro, as the First Mate, still remains second.
Sanji, being highly competitive with Zoro, still ends up third.
Robin, dangerous with her Devil Fruit, still ends up forth.
Nami defeated Chopper due to bounty and obtains the position of fifth.
Chopper, with a pathetic bounty of fifty Beli, gets a lousy sixth, a weak rank impossible for our strong and powerful reindeer.
Usopp ends up last. Can you believe he has a 30 million Beli?

One Piece Manga Chapter 435

Finally, with the release of One Piece Manga Chapter 435, one and a half out of two questions, that everyone has been asking ever since Lucci and CP9 has been defeated, have finally been answered. Yup, it's about the Straw Hats' new bounties, as well as who would become their shipwright and eighth crewmate.

And so now, we see the new bounties.

Captain "Straw Hat Monkey D. Luffy" with an ex-bounty of 30 million after defeating top East Blue pirates like Buggy, Don Krieg and Arlong, and a bounty of 100 million after defeating Shichibukai and President of Baroque Works Crocodile, has now recieved a 300 million bounty, for defeating a thousand Marines in Enies Lobby, as well as taking down two CP9s, Blueno and Lucci, with a Douriki of 820 and 4000 respectively.

First Mate "Pirate Hunter Roronoa Zoro", with a bounty of 60 million after defeating a hundred bounty hunters in Whiskey Peak and Mr. 1 Daz Bones in Alabasta, recieves a 120 million bounty for defeating CP9 Kaku, with a Douriki of 2200.

Archaeologist "Child of Demons Nico Robin" has a mere 1 million increase in bounty, from a 79 million given to her when she was 8 years old, to a round and nice 80 million. They updated her picture too, so they are no longer using the picture of Robin 20 years ago. That's what you get for just defeating Spandam, Robin, when even a mere Marine can finish him off. XD

Cook "Sanji the Black Leg", his title following his mentor Zeff the Red Leg, has a bounty of 77 million, by defeating Jyabura of CP9, with a Douriki of 2180. He did closen the gap between the amount of his bounty and Zoro's bounty, but he's still gonna lose an advantage in his quarrels with Zoro due to the large different. Haha. What's more, they can't find a picture, so they have to do with an ugly drawing presumeably by 3 year old kids. And Sanji was soooooooooo looking forward to his bounty. Hahaha, better luck next time, Love-Cook!

Marksman "Sogeking the Sharpshooter King" recieved a bounty of 30 million just for burning down the World Government flag. Wow, the World Government is rich. I bet he still cannot defeat the East Blue pirates Luffy defeated for getting his 30 million. Take note that it is Sogeking who got the bounty, not Usopp. If he just ditches the disguise, he would have no bounty, which is what leads him to become Sogeking. Note that Usopp still have not rejoin the crew, though he has been practising what to tell Luffy to let him rejoin, unfortunately spotted by Sanji.

Navigator "Burglar Cat Nami" has a 16 million bounty along with a sexy picture for her bounty poster, for defeating CP9 Kalifa. She should have recieved a much higher bounty, Kalifa is no easy person to defeat. Now, her bounty is around the East Blue elites. Pfft. Useless World Government, giving high bounties to almost-useless people to Sogeking. :P

And if Nami's bounty is injust (though she does not want one anyway), Doctor "Cotton Candy Lover Tony Tony Chopper" is worse. A bounty of 50 beli. Yes, 50 freaking bucks. Because he is the Straw Hats' "pet". -.-" For ****'s sake, he defeated Kumadori of CP9, and all he have is 50? He seems to be shocked though, whether out of disappointment, like Sanji, or fear, like Nami, is unknown.

And Shipwright "Franky the Cyborg" has a 44 million bounty for defeating Nero and Fukurou of CP9.

Zambai, second in charge of Franky Family, proposes to Luffy to invite Franky to join, due to his bounty. Neither Luffy's response nor Franky's is heard, so I guess that solves half of the question. So will Franky join? Or will Paulie join? Maybe both? Maybe another person?

Strengths of the Straw Hat Pirates

I know I said to upload Sogeking's Hissatsu Fire Bird Star, but I'd like to analyze the strengths of the Straw Hat Pirates, like who is stronger and stuff. Maybe tomorrow, lol.

Anyway, the Straw Hat Pirates in One Piece consist of seven members: Luffy, Zoro, Usopp, Sanji, Nami, Chopper and Robin. This blog entry shall analyze to see who is stronger and who is weaker.

As the seven Straw Hats hardly fought each other seriously, it is difficult to analyze their strengths. We shall, however, use the strengths of the opponents they defeat and make an analysis of who is stronger.

Now, which villains should we use? Well, since Chopper and Robin were not in the entire East Blue Saga, I wouldn't use it lest the results are inaccurate. Neither would I use Drum Kingdom Arc, as only Luffy and Chopper fought. No Jaya Arc too, no Water 7 Arc, as neither arcs have any serious fighting. No fillers too, they aren't based off the actual and more accurate manga.

That leaves us with three factions: Baroque Works, Skypiea's Priests and CP9.

Baroque Works have its members ranked accordingly to their strengths. Mr. 0 aka Sir Crocodile is the most powerful, followed by Mr. 1, Mr. 2, Mr. 3, Mr. 4 and Mr. 5. Each male is partnered by a female except for Mr. 2 Bon Clay, who is, well, homosexual. If we take it that the female partner of a male is more powerful than the next male down the row, then the members arranged accordingly to strengths would look something like this:

Mr. 0 Sir Crocodile
Miss All-Sunday
Mr. 1 Daz Bones
Miss Doublefinger
Mr. 2 Bon Clay
Mr. 3
Miss Goldenweek
Mr. 4
Miss Merry Christmas
Mr. 5
Miss Valentine

Crocodile is finally defeated by Luffy's Gomu Gomu no Storm after two rounds of losing. Miss All-Sunday is Robin after all, who will later join the Straw Hats. Zoro defeated Mr. 1 with a Shishi Sonson, Nami defeated Miss Doublefinger with a Tornado Tempo, Sanji defeated Mr. 2, Luffy defeated Mr. 3 with a Gomu Gomu no Stamp, Carue dealt the finishing blow onto Miss Goldenweek (as was seen when Carue runs towards Goldenweek and we see Luffy, Usopp and Carue eating Goldenweek's senpei), Usopp and Chopper defeating Mr. 4 and Miss Merry Christmas together, Zoro finishing Mr. 5 with a Yaki Oni Giri and Nami and Vivi finishing Miss Valentine. Now we fill in the names of those who defeated (or at least dealt the finishing blow) the eleven Baroque Works agents...

Mr. 0 Sir Crocodile - Luffy
Miss All-Sunday - Robin
Mr. 1 Daz Bones - Zoro
Miss Doublefinger - Nami
Mr. 2 Bon Clay - Sanji
Mr. 3 - Luffy
Miss Goldenweek - Carue
Mr. 4 - Usopp/Chopper
Miss Merry Christmas - Usopp/Chopper
Mr. 5 - Zoro
Miss Valentine - Nami/Vivi

Now we remove the non-Straw Hats, remove the greedy bastards who defeated more than one agent (:P) and it becomes something like this:

1st: Luffy
2nd: Robin
3rd: Zoro
4th: Nami
5th: Sanji
6.5th: Usopp/Chopper

Since Usopp and Chopper tied, they shall get the awesome rank of an average of 6 and 7. -.-"

Now, we move onto Skypiea's Priests. Enel, being the God, is obviously the strongest. The four Priests follow. We shall rank their strength according to their chances of survival in their respective Ordeals. Judging by the percentage of their Ordeals' chances of survival, Ohm kills hundred out of hundred people, Shura kills ninety-seven out of hundred, Satori kills ninety out of hundred and Gedatsu kills fifty out of hundred (though if not for his extreme stupidity he is able to kill ninety-five out of hundred). This shows that Ohm is stronger, followed by Shura, Satori and then Gedatsu. Next follows Yama, Chief of Enel's enforcers, and Hotori and Kotori, lieutenants of Enel's Enforcers. The list will look like this:

Enel
Ohm
Shura
Satori
Gedatsu
Yama
Hotori/Kotori

Enel is defeated by Luffy's (almost the only human able to defeat Enel) Gomu Gomu no Ougon Rifle. Ohm is defeated by Zoro's 108 Pound Cannon. Shura is defeated by Wiper's Reject Dial. Satori is defeated by Sanji's Concasse (the Ordeal of Love XD). Gedatsu by Chopper's Kokutei Cross, Yama by Robin's Cien Fleur Delphinium, Hotori by Gan Fall and Kotori by Nami using Gan Fall's Impact Dial. Now we fill the list up.

Enel - Luffy
Ohm - Zoro
Shura - Wiper
Satori - Sanji
Gedatsu - Chopper
Yama - Robin
Hotori/Kotori - Nami/Gan Fall

Say goodbye to the non-Straw Hats.

1st: Luffy
2nd: Zoro
3rd: Sanji
4th: Chopper
5th: Robin
6th: Nami
7th: Usopp*

*Usopp didn't even get a kill. -.-"

Okay, now, we move onto CP9. CP9 agents can indeed be ranked accordingly to strength easily, by using Douriki. Douriki, measured by CP9 agent Fukurou, measures "power level" and is quite accurate in measuring strength, though in doesn't accept factors such as Devil Fruits. However, most of the CP9 have Devil Fruits. So who cares?

Lucci remains first with 4000 Douriki. Kaku second with 2200, Jyabura close behind with 2180. Blueno is forth with 820, Kumadori close behind with 810, Fukurou close behind too with 800. Kalifa has 640, Nero somewhere between 9 (Spandam's) and 640 (Kalifa's) as he only knows four out of the Rokushiki (Six Styles) where as Kalifa knows all six and Spandam knows zero. Spandam, shamefully, has 9, whereas an ordinary and armed soldier has 10. We list them accordingly...

Lucci
Kaku
Jyabura
Blueno
Kumadori
Fukurou
Kalifa
Nero
Spandam

Luffy defeated Lucci with a Gomu Gomu no Jet Gatling Gun after a long and difficult fight. Zoro defeated Kaku with Asura One Mist Silver. Sanji defeated Jyabura with Diable Jame. Luffy, again, defeated Blueno with a Gomu Gomu no Jet Bazooka, while Kumadori is finished with Chopper's Monster Point. Franky defeats Fukurou (I forgot what attack lol). Nami defeats Kalifa with Thunder Lance Tempo. Franky, again, defeats Nero with Ultimate Hammer. Robin cracks Spandam's back while the Straw Hats, Galley-La, Franky Family and the two Giants escaped from Enies Lobby's Buster Call. Anyway, now we fill the list up:

Lucci - Luffy
Kaku - Zoro
Jyabura - Sanji
Blueno - Luffy
Kumadori - Chopper
Fukurou - Franky
Kalifa - Nami
Nero - Franky
Spandam - Robin

Again, we remove those non-Straw Hats and those who defeated more than one.

1st: Luffy
2nd: Zoro
3rd: Sanji
4th: Chopper
5th: Nami
6th: Robin
7th: Usopp/Sogeking*

*I blame Luffy and Franky for making Usopp/Sogeking kill-less.

Of course, we can also use other factors to determine their strengths.

Bounties can roughly be used to measure strength, although a very inaccurate way of doing so. A bounty does not always reflect the strength of a person. Simply doing criminal activities, associating yourself with certain groups or particpating in forbidden activities (such as researching the Poneglyphs) can make you gain or increase a bounty without reflecting the strength of the person carrying it. In short, the bounty simply reflects how much threat (or potential threat) said person has to the World Government. Still, we can use it as a rough guide.

Luffy has a 100 million Belli bounty by thrashing Shichibukai Crocodile, followed by Robin's 79 million, which she got 20 years ago when she was 8. Zoro has 60 million by defeating Mr. 1 Daz Bones (who had 52 million) and 100 bounty hunters back at Whiskey Peak. Let's consider Sanji to be forth, since he is the only one out of the remaining four to constanly complain about lack of his bounty, showing his confidence in his strength.

Also, at Skypiea, after Knight of the Sky Gan Fall gave the Straw Hats a whistle to call him whenever they need help, it is decided that Luffy, Zoro, Sanji and Robin are unable to blow it. This shows that the four are stronger than the three who are able to blow it, namely Nami, Usopp and Chopper.

So now, let's take another look at the three lists.

1st: Luffy
2nd: Robin
3rd: Zoro
4th: Nami
5th: Sanji
6.5th: Usopp/Chopper

1st: Luffy
2nd: Zoro
3rd: Sanji
4th: Chopper
5th: Robin
6th: Nami
7th: Usopp

1st: Luffy
2nd: Zoro
3rd: Sanji
4th: Chopper
5th: Nami
6th: Robin
7th: Usopp/Sogeking

If we find the average of the three numbers each character has:

Luffy = (1+1+1)/3 = 1
Zoro = (3+2+2)/3 = 2.33
Sanji = (5+3+3)/3 = 3.67
Robin = (2+5+6)/3 = 4.33
Chopper = (6.5+4+4)/3 = 4.83
Nami = (4+6+5)/3 = 5
Usopp = (6.5+7+7) = 6.83

Since the lower the number, the stronger that person is, we can infer that:

Luffy, being the Captain, is strongest.
Zoro, as the First Mate, is second.
Sanji, being highly competitive with Zoro, ends up third.
Robin, dangerous with her Devil Fruit, is forth.
Chopper, combating his inexperience in battle with his Devil Fruit, ends up fifth.
Nami, becoming from a helpless girl to a Straw Hat powerhouse, ends up sixth due to the other five in front being monsters. -.-"
Usopp, said to be useless and other shit, ends up seventh, with no kill at all in Skypiea and Enies Lobby, though he did help against Satori and Enel in Skypiea and Jyabura and Spandam in Enies Lobby.

There, you have it. Robin is not necessary stronger than Zoro just because she has 19 million more in bounty. :P

Sogeking

Now we shall have a blog post dedicated to the heroic warrior from the Sharpshooter Island, SOGEKING! *drum rolls*

After the battle with Marines Admiral Aokiji, Usopp watched his friends easily beaten which scares him and makes him question his belonging in the crew. He was afraid that the crew is encountering stronger adversaries and since he was the weakest crewmember he started to lose confidence. A series of conflicts, particularly Luffy's choice to get a new ship to replace the Going Merry, a ship given by a beautiful lady in Usopp's village, results in Usopp leaving the crew. After a battle with Luffy, where Usopp displayed an uncharacteristically vicious fighting style, he gained the now terminally-damaged Going Merry. Usopp was later detained by World Government organization CP9 (Cipher Pol 9).

After being freed from CP9 captivity by Sanji during the Sea Train chase, Usopp announced that he has no business with the Straw Hat Pirates and disappears. Yet Usopp came back a minute later in a disguise. He was wearing a mask and a cape, using the alias "Sogeking" (sogeki means sniper, so Sogeking is a pun meaning "Sniper King"). According to his stories, Sogeking is from an island of snipers, Sharpshooter Island, that can be found in your heart, and Usopp has even written a theme song for this identity.

He helped Franky and Sanji in order to rescue Nico Robin but they fail to do so. After being in the detached cart 4 and 3 with Sanji, they were found by the Franky Family and finally reunited with Luffy. When they confronted CP9, Sogeking unveiled a new weapon, a long staff with a more powerful slingshot attached called "Kabuto".

All of the Straw Hats (including Galley-La and Franky Family) realize who he really is except for Luffy and Chopper. It is unknown if Usopp is going to rejoin the crew. His motive for concealing his identity is both so that he will not become a fugitive with an inflated bounty over his head, as attacking the Marine Base would cause this subsequent action and to keep his identity a secret towards the crew (even if it only worked on Chopper and Luffy).

Now, for his theme song! XD

This is the first one we hears, he sings it to Sanji and Franky on the Sea Train Puffing Tom while trying to save Nico Robin.

He finally meets up with Robin while trying to save her (while Sanji is fighting CP7 chef Wanze and Franky is fighting former CP9 member Nero). Thank Lord Saradomin for the TO BE CONTINUED lest Sogeking continues singing to Robin.

The second one we hears, he sings it to Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Chopper, Paulie, Lulu, Tilestone and the Franky Family when they were reunited, although only Luffy and Chopper fell for it.

Checked around YouTube for Sogeking shooting down the World Government's flag as an act of defiant for being Robin's enemy, but can't find a subbed version of it. I'll cut off excess parts off One Piece episode 278 and upload it later.

Zoro's Birthday

Today, the 11th November, marks Zoro's birthday.

Roronoa Zoro, being the First Mate and Swordsman of the Straw Hat Pirates, has a bounty of sixty million Belli. Zoro is a mighty swordsman who fights with San-Tour-Ryu, three daito katana, and his own unique fighting style. Though not a samurai, he appears to maintain a certain degree of bushido, and is frequently mistaken for one. Unlike Luffy and most of the other Strawhats, Zoro has been known to kill his opponents if he has to, though never in cold blood.

Zoro has a stern, serious and distanced personality, but unlike Robin he often reacts in a goofy and exaggerated comic style. When the crew sails from one island to another, he normally either trains with weights or just sleeps and is normally awakened in a rather violent way by either Nami or Sanji. He also likes sake, almost to the degree that Luffy likes meat, but like Nami, he never gets drunk due to his inhumanly-high tolerance for alcohol. Luffy likes to make fun of Zoro for his lack of orientation, despite his sense of direction not being much better (Zoro often gets lost, even in small spaces or when he is led by someone). Even though his sense of direction is very poor, he has other strong senses and is often one of the first members of the crew to hear an enemy approaching or sense danger. Zoro likes to compete with Sanji and they often get into fights over petty matters, often at inopportune moments.

Zoro is the swordsman of the crew, and therefore normally fights other swordsmen of enemy groups such as Cabaji the Acrobat of Buggy's Band of Pirates, Hatchan of the Arlong Pirates, Mr. 1 Daz Bones of Baroque Works, Ohm of Skypiea's Priests and Kaku of the Cipher Pol 9. All in all, he is not particularly picky when fighting his opponents (unlike Sanji, who prepares to fight male foes as he would rather die before directly harming a female adversary). Through this, he developed a few rivalries. His goal is to become the world's best swordsman. To accomplish this, he has to defeat Dracule Mihawk who, as of now in the story, holds this title. He confronted Mihawk once during the Baratie arc but lost to a 6 inch knife and was left with the huge scar on the front of his torso, which was caused by Mihawk's Black Sword. After his defeat Zoro vowed to never lose in terms of swordsmanship to anyone, and this was one of the very, very few scenes where Zoro cried.

Zoro has a unique relationship with Master Chief Petty Officer Tashigi of the Marines. Tashigi and Zoro met in Loguetown, where she helped him search for new katanas. Tashigi says that she wants to confiscate all great swords from the pirates and headhunters who wield them, not realizing that Zoro is one of those pirates. Zoro defeated her once but refused to fight her again in later confrontations, due to her uncanny resemblance to his childhood friend, Kuina. Whenever he sees her, he runs away claiming that she is the one person he cannot fight.

Zoro can also be very vigorous and won't back down when he is determined to achieve a goal or defeat an enemy. On Little Garden, he attempted to slice off his feet to escape death and return to the battle, resulting in scars around both his ankles - this also shows his habit of not thinking things through. When Zoro has the intention to fight seriously, he normally ties his black bandana (which is usually tied around his left upper arm) over his head.

As a boy, Zoro trained in a dojo. Even as a child, Zoro was strong enough to defeat most adults. However, there was one person Zoro could not beat - the sensei's daughter, Kuina. After their 2000th fight (and Kuina's 2000th victory) Zoro challenged her in private for one more match - with real swords. He lost. Afterwards Zoro cried out of frustration, that he cannot fullfil his dream of becoming the world's best swordsman if he cannot beat Kuina. After Zoro said that was his dream, Kuina started to cry as well, explaining that she wants to be the best swordsman too, but her father says that girls can't be master swordsmen since they will mature into the physically weaker gender, and for her the process is already beginning. Zoro yelled at her and told her she shouldn't say such things because she can beat him, and the two make a promise - that either of them must become the worlds best swordsman. The next day, Kuina died falling down the stairs of her house.

Zoro, remembering the promise, decided to fulfil the promise for both of them, and he asked the teacher for Kuina's sword, Wadou Ichimonji, and he started to develop a new fighting style - San-Tour-Ryu (Three-Swords-Style). Before her sudden death, Zoro fought with two swords but after her death, Zoro started using her sword as well, clenched in his mouth.

Somehow he learned of Mihawk, nicknamed "Hawk-Eye", who is currently the greatest swordsman in the world. Eventually, Zoro went to sea looking to find and challenge Mihawk to a duel but somehow got lost and could not return to his home. Since fighting is more or less the only thing Zoro is really good at, he would usually take on a bounty hunter job in order to pay for sword repairs and meals. From then on, he quickly made a reputation as a "Pirate Hunter". Because of his reputation, Zoro was offered a position and a number in Baroque Works because of his bounty hunting skills, but declined when he was not allowed to "Be The Boss". Afterwards, he killed the person who offered, the late Mr. 6 of Baroque Works.

A moment of kindness landed Zoro in trouble with Helmeppo, the wimpy son of the Marine captain Axe-Hand Morgan. Zoro joined Monkey D. Luffy's crew after being saved from execution by the Marines, and is now one of Luffy's crew as the first mate. Holding on to his dream of becoming the greatest swordsman in the world he only joined Luffy to accomplish that goal, though Luffy doesn't mind - on the contrary, he only sees it natural that the greatest swordsman and the Pirate King are on the same crew.

Zoro is a master swordsman, able to use one, two and three swords in varying attack styles, although he is most comfortable with his San-Tour-Ryu (Three-Sword-Style). Lacking a third hand for a third sword, Zoro holds his third sword in his mouth.

Zoro is Luffy's First Mate and is physically the second strongest member of the crew, with only Luffy surpassing him in strength. Zoro is arguably one of the strongest humans in One Piece; while most super powered heroes and villains gain power from eating one of the Devil Fruits, Zoro has gained his powers through hard work and training in his sword techniques, some of which can be used as projectiles - using the air itself to hurt the enemy. Even without his swords, he has monstrous strength (in one instance he lifted and tossed an entire building at an opponent) and he can use some sword techniques without his swords. Zoro has shown to pack powerful punches even developing the ability to pump his arms up with pure muscle, allowing him to break Tekkai with ease.

All of Zoro's attacks are puns and have multiple meanings. Some common techniques are Oni Giri (Demon Slash, if read as one word it sounds like "onigiri" which means "riceball"), a three-sword attack where all swords are slashed at the same time to form an asterisk, and 36/72/108 Pondou Hou (36/72/108 Pound Cannon or 36/72/108 Phoenixes of Passion and Desire), a projectile attack for which the power increases according to how many swords are used. His Pondou Hou attacks are reference to the 36 passions of the Buddhism (Sight, Hearing, Speech, Smell, Touch, Thought and on to those desires, Good, Evil, Neutrality, and onto those desires, Purity, Corruption. Total number of combinations: 36)

Currently Zoro uses the following swords:
- Wadou Ichimonji, (The One Road of Harmony, 和道一文字): This is Zoro's most important sword. It was once Kuina's sword and is the sword he puts in his mouth when using San-Tour-Ryu. The katana is a 21 Ō Wazamono (excellent grade sword). Distinguished with a white sheath, and definitely Zoro's favorite sword, he also uses this sword when fighting with It-Tour-Ryu (One-Sword-Style). Also, this sword was strong enough to withstand the power of Mihawk's Black Sword. Its cost is estimated to be ten million Belli.
- Sandai Kitetsu (Third Generation Demon Splitter, 三代鬼徹): It is supposedly capable of cutting anything. Along with its predecessors, Shodai Kitetsu and Nidai Kitetsu, this Wazamono (sharp sword) has a curse which caused all the previous owners to fall to tragic deaths. Inside of Ippon Matsu's sword shop at Logue Town, Zoro, knowing that the sword is cursed, tests the sword by throwing it into the air and laying his arm in the path of the blade, so that the sword would not end up cutting him during a fight and causing him to lose. The sword hits with the blunt edge, saving Zoro's arm. Upon seeing this, Ippon Matsu gives the Sandai Kitetsu to Zoro without question, in hopes of passing his dreams to Zoro. It is estimated to cost one million Belli.
-Edit made on 22 March 2008: SHUUSUI!! One Of the 21 O Wazamono or '21 Great Edges' of the world. It was the meitou of the Samurai Ryuuma, who appeared as an zombie on Thriller Bark that had been given Brook's shadow. Zoro took the sword from Ryuuma after he defeated him. Zoro has commented that Shuusui's greatest attribute is its hardness; saying that even if a dinosaur were to step on it the blade wouldn't bend. Just as Sandai Kitetsu turned out to be a "problem child", Zoro describes Shuusui as having a "temper". It is designed to increase the damage potential of the user, however Zoro soon discovers the real problem about this blade; while Yubashiri was extremely light Shuusui is very heavy.

Previous swords that Zoro used:
- Zoro had two swords he used in his right and left hands since his first appearance. The two swords were destroyed by Dracule "Hawk-Eye" Mihawk while the two dueled in Baratie.
- Yosaku and Johnny's Sword. Zoro borrowed these swords to fight Hatchan in Arlong Park, as his two swords were destroyed by Mihawk.
- Yubashiri (Snow Run, 雪走): An extremely light and flexible but strong sword, and is one of the world's 50 Ryō Wazamono (fine grade sword). This was in the shopkeep Ippon Matsu's family for years. After Zoro's display of fearlessness and trust in swords, Ippon Matsu gives it to him for free. This sword was destroyed in the battle against the Marine Captains on the Bridge of Hesitation under the Buster Call attack on the Enies Lobby. The broken sword is still kept by Zoro. It is possible that he kept the hilt in order to have it repaired.

The Ordeal of Love

Yet another blog post on Sanji, Chef of the Straw Hat Pirates, from One Piece. Man, I'm starting to love his girl-defending and -protecting personality, lol.

In Skypiea, Zoro, Robin, Chopper and Nami, along with the Going Merry, were sent off to the Sacrifical Altar to be killed by God as they made a crime and are made criminals, but if Luffy, Sanji and Usopp can pass one of the Ordeals and make it to the Sacrifical Altar, they can save the four.

The three sets off to Upper Yard, known as the Divine Land of God, on the Little Crow, a ship that Conis gives them. However, they reach a four-way split where they have to choose which Ordeal to enter, each Ordeal led by a Priest of Skypiea: Skybreeder Ohm and the Ordeal of Iron, Skyrider Shura and the Ordeal of String, Satori of the Forest and the Ordeal and Sky Boss Gedatsu and the Ordeal of Swamp.

Usopp starts imagining the worst: Being smashed by huge iron cubes weighing 100kg each; having to grab a string and move from one side to another, the Blue Sea 20 000 metres below; squashed by huge rolling red spheres; and sinking in a dirty and brown swamp. Luffy decides to go into the Ordeal of Ball, just because 'it sounds like fun'. The three went there just as what the Captain decided.

And so, after a difficult time against Satori and his Ordeal of Balls, Luffy uses Satori's Ball Dragon attack against himself, throwing it at Satori and causing a huge explosion. During that time, Satori was unable to use Mantra to predict what his opponents will do before they attack, and dodge them effectively, and Luffy uses the chance to hop onto Satori's back. Sanji instructs Luffy to hold onto Satori tight, and that he did by stretching his arms and legs and going around Satori many times like a rope and a parcel.

Satori: That was close. Nearly unbelievable. He was actually planning to go down with me. How disappointing... I haven't had enough training. He took things out of my pace for just one second and I totally lost it. My Mantra was distracted by that shock.
Luffy: Yeah, you're right. That was close!
Satori: You're still alive!? No! Get off! You dweeb! Don't stick to me like that, you pervert! Hurry up! Get off me! Y-You idiot! Jerk!
Sanji: Don't let go, Luffy. Don't let that Dango get away.
Satori: You-
Luffy: Ah, Sanji! You're alive?
Sanji: I'M HALF-DEAD THANKS TO YOU! WATCH WHAT YOU'RE DOING! Well, anyway, Dango-man. You keep going on about Ordeal this and Ordeal that. But the truth is, I don't remember a bit of it. But now, you're going to experience the Great Flying Shitty Ordeal. I've got two delicate ladies awaiting my rescue. In short, you could say... This is the Ordeal of Love!
Satori: This guy's an idiot too!! Get off of me! H-H-Hey! S-Shit! Lemme go! This isn't fair! You're not allowed to attack together!
Sanji: Kidnapping our nakama without warning... Making a cute angel weep and then trying to kill her... And you want to call us unfair?
Luffy: Yeah, that's true. It's pretty cool that you can predict our moves and all... But even if you can predict them... ...it doesn't mean anything if you can't dodge them.
Satori: S-Stop it, you idiot! I am a Priest in the service of God! Let me go! Hey! Are you listening to me!? Evading Judgement by a Priest is a Class-1 crime! Do you think you'll get away with this!? It will be a declaration of war against the almight God Enel!
Sanji: Shut your mouth. You're letting the flavor escape. Take for example how I finish off a fine mignonette with some pepper... I need to tenderize the meat, with force, Brutally. Beating it into small morsels without hesistation. [leaps high into the air] Then all the wonderful flavor locked inside comes gushing forth! [starts flipping over rapidly to gain speed]
Satori: You idiot! Stop!! Ah, stop! Stop! It'll hurt! Stop, it'll hurt!
Sanji: [brings the heel of his foot down on the opponent's head] Concasse! ("Concasse" is French for the process of tenderizing meat by pounding it.)

Edit made on 3 February 2008:

Manga version of the Ordeal of Love (:O):

And after passing the Ordeal of Balls, Sanji continues steering the boat to the Sacrifical Altar, while Luffy and Usopp decides to have some fun.

Luffy: Like I was saying, Usopp, you do it like this!
Usopp: Okay, yosh. "Hey! Wake up, you dimwit!"
Luffy: "Wha-? Morning already?" [Zoro impression]

Usopp: That's JUST like Zoro~!

Sanji: Quit goofing off, you dorks!

Sanji: We don't know what's happened to Nami-san or Robin-chan...

Luffy: What about Zoro and Chopper?
Sanji: There's still three Priests out there. They might be enduring one of their Ordeals.
Luffy: "This is the Ordeal of Love." [Sanji impression]

Sanji: For now, we have to keep heading towards the Sacrifical Altar. Agreed?

Luffy and Usopp: Bes. Be'r bewwy sawwy. (Yes. We're very sorry.)

Sanji's Chivalry

In the Arlong Arc of One Piece, shortly after Sanji joins the Straw Hat Pirates, he, Luffy and Yosaku head to Cocoyashi Village after Nami, who ran off with their ship Going Merry suddenly, while Zoro, Usopp and Johnny are already on her trails. After many events, the four Straw Hats and the two bounty hunters finally meet each other. After listening to Nami's tragic past told by her sister Nojiko, the four Straw Hats decided to help her get out of it, by defeating the one man responsible, Arlong.

The four Straw Hats marched to Arlong Park, and after Luffy easily defeated the weaker fishmen with a Gomu Gomu no Kazaguruma, Zoro fights with Hatchan, Usopp fights with Chuu and Sanji fights with Kurobii.

Gomu Gomu no Kazaguruma (ゴムゴムの風車, Gomu Gomu no Pinwheel): Luffy plants his feet into the ground beneath him to steady himself, then twists his body around tightly. He grabs hold of something and unwinds, spinning the held item around rapidly and attacking anything around him.

Kurobii, after understanding why Sanji is fighting, mocks him, thinking that he is naive, fighting for a girl when he is going to get killed. Sanji, who has sworn to never let insult or injury happen to any woman while he can still stand, starts to get angry, but Kurobii quickly unleashed hell onto Sanji, especially after both dive into the sea. When Sanji finally manages to get back up onto the surface:

Sanji: [pointing into the sea] But first... Get your ass outta the water, you fish freak! I still need to kick your small-time ass!
Kurobii: [coming out of the sea and onto the surface]: You still don't understand, do you? It doesn't matter whether it's underwater or on land. It's still the same. You've really angered me. I'll show you the essence of Merman Karate. [stands up] The move that blew you out of the park... Was a Hyaku Mai Gawara Sei Ken (100 Direct Punch)! *shows Sanji, very pissed off* But my special move is the Sen Mai Gawara Sei Ken (1000 Direct Punch)! The chances of you surviving are... ZERO!! [prepares to attack]
Sanji: Collier! {Collier (首肉(コリエ), Neck): A kick to the neck whilest still on the ground. "Collier" is the French term for neck meat.}
Sanji: [still very pissed off] You said my chivalry was naive?
Sanji: Epaule! {Epaule (肩肉(エポール), Shoulder): A downward kick targeting the opponent's shoulder, meant to knock them off balance or drive them into the ground. "Epaule" is the French term for shoulder meat.}
Sanji: [still pissed off] That I can't protect anyone, huh?
Sanji: Côtelette! {Côtelette (背肉(コートレット), Ribs): Dropping down into a one-handed handstand position, Sanji kicks the opponent hard in the ribs, this attack is usually followed by Selle. "Côtelette" is the French term for rib meat.}
Sanji: Selle! {Selle (鞍下肉(セル), Lower Back): Commonly used as a combo attack with Côtelette, using the momentum from the Côtelette attack Sanji (still in a handstand) spins around in the opposite direction to deliver a fast kick to the opponent's lower back or Lumbar region.
Sanji: Poitrine! {Poitrine (胸肉(ポワトリーヌ), Breast): A stabbing kick straight into the opponent's chest. "Poitrine" is the French term for breast meat.}
Sanji: Gigot! {Gigot (もも肉(ジゴー), Legs): Running at the opponent Sanji delivers a sweeping kick to the knee caps, the opponent is either send flying or slammed to the ground as a result. "Gigot" is the French term for leg meat.}
[Johnny, Yosaku and the villagers from Cocoyashi Village looks on with shock]
Kurobii: [tries to stand up] Why you... Bastard!
Sanji: You bastard! [charges at Kurobii]
Kurobii: Kyuu Koku Sei Ken (Direct Air Punch)! Senmai Gawa... (100 Di...) [punches air]
Sanji: Mouton Shot! {Mouton Shot (羊肉(ムートン)ショット, Mutton Shot): One of Sanji's strongest single kicks, and a common finishing move. He starts by jumping or fliping into the air and then channels all his might into one leg to deliver a kick to the opponent's mid-section, or sometimes their head, that sends them flying. "Mouton" is the cooking term that refers to cooked lamb meat.}
[Kurobii gets kicked in the face, flying through the entire building in Arlong Park and into the wall of the backyard]
[Johnny, Yosaku and Cocoyashi Villagers now have opened jaws]
[Zoro smiles]
Sanji: [stands up] Guess you... don't need dessert.

Wow, such pwnage delivered just to help a girl out.

Singing At The Party

This is a tribute to Vernon the Pro, who sings this song so much during classes in school that he can easily drive me mad and crazy.

I am a-singing at the party
I am singing it's my turn to sing at this party
Everyone is dancing, happy party
But Ramses is not dancing he does not dance at the parties
Ramses' number one he knows the secret of desire
Ramses is the one, he puts the people all on fire

Heh

I am bored, so I decided to post my favorites on YouTube, all clips on One Piece (:P), here. Enjoy.

Collier Frit (首肉(コリエ)フリット, Neck Fry): An attack for defeating two opponents simultaneously. Sanji drops into a handstand and kicks each of the two opponents in the neck at the same time. He then uses his hands to launch himself upwards and spin around at the same time, this sends his opponents flying into the air while spinning wildly. "Collier" is the French term for neck meat.

Isn't as cool as most of Sanji's other attacks (*cough* Anti-Manner Kick Course, Party Table Kick Course, Mouton Shot or Concasse *cough*), but I guess this does the trick.

Anti-Manner Kick Course (反行儀(アンチマナー)キックコース): Thought to be Sanji's strongest single kick attack, he only uses it when he's really, really mad. He gathers all the power he can muster and delivers a massive vertical kick by lifting one of his legs a full 180 degrees in the air. This attack is aimed at the very center of the opponent's torso (front or back) and is almost always enough to defeat any opponent with one shot.

"Never make any noise while eating your meal. Anti-Manner Kick Course!!" O.O "NAMI-SAAAN~! D...Do you love me!? Comiiing~! Mellorine! Mellorine!" XD

Yaki Oni Giri (焼鬼斬り, Burning Demon Slash): A variation of the Oni Giri, in which Zoro crosses his two swords across his chest and uses them to cut through the opponent and the blade in his mouth cuts near the shoulder, where Zoro's swords are on fire. Should this attack connect, the opponent will also be set on fire. The pun in the name is that since "onigiri" mean "riceball", when "yaki" is added, "yaki onigiri" means "grilled rice ball" in Japanese.

Mr. 5 got owned. XD

Hyaku-Hachi Pound Hou (百八煩悩鳳, 108 Pound Cannon): This attack uses the air itself to slash the target from a distance, using all three swords to create a spiral of air to damage its target.

Hyaku-Hachi Pound Hou is pwnage and will forever be pwnage. XD After all, it is used in two combo attacks, Gomu Gomu no 300 Pound Cannon and Gomu Gomu no Kaiten Ono, after all!

Ni-Tour-Ryu Iai: Rashoumon (二刀流「居合」 羅生門, Two-Swords-Style Draw-and-Resheath Technique: Eternal Life Gate): A dual sword drawing technique so powerful it split large obstacles in half. Zoro draws his sword, and sheaths it so quickly splitting a train carriage into half.

"The self in the forsaken world, I will cut. Ni-Tour-Ryu Iai, Rashoumon!!" XD This is another of Zoro's pure pwnage attacks, too bad he only used it once, and heck, it cut two carriages of the Puffing Tom! XD

Just the seven Straw Hats doing seven different attacks together, rofl.

Gomu Gomu no Pistol (ゴムゴムの銃(ピストル)): Luffy's standard straight punch, augmented with stretching. This attack can be used from short to long range.

Tatsumaki (龍巻き, Dragon Twister): Zoro spins with his swords to create a dragon-like tornado. If the opponent can still successfully move after the attack, they will lose a significant amount of blood.

Collier Shoot (首肉(コリエ)シュート, Neck Shoot): Sanji jumps high into the air and lands a powerful kick to the opponent's neck. "Collier" is the French term for neck meat.

Usopp Hammer (ウソップハンマー): Usopp bashes his target on the head with a small, yet effective, hammer.

Ocho Fleur Clutch (八輪咲き(オーチョフルール)クラッチ, Eight Flower Clutch): Two arms grab an opponent's legs and makes them fall backwards. Two pairs hold the foe up at their back, and a pair grabs his upper body. The pairs at the upper body and legs pull, cracking the foe's back.

Kokutei Roseo (刻蹄桜(ロゼオ), Carving Hoof Sakura): Can only be used when in Arm Point form. Chopper punches the opponent with such a force that his hoof leaves an imprint in his victim that looks like a sakura petal.

Cyclone Tempo (サイクロン=テンポ, Cyclone Tempest): Nami puts the "Heat Pole" and "Cool Pole" together like an X on the top of the "Electric Pole". She swings it like a bat, and the X detaches from the "Electric Pole" spinning torwards her opponent. When the X hits, the hot and cold airs collide and create a massive wind that'll blow her opponent away. The the X will return to Nami like a boomerang.

Two tornado attacks, one pounding, three "send you blasting off Team Rocket-style" attacks and one back cracking attack. Bloody hell... This man lived a good life. May he rest in peace. XD Comical watching the villain's face as the names of the attacks pop up together and gets unleashed one by one, roflmao. XD

"Sanji impression. Who the hell ate all the meat?" XD Luffy's impressions are always funny.

Told ya his impressions are always funny.

Self-explanatory, rofl.

Crazy Rainbow

The seventh opening (eighth if you count in the Straw Hat Pirates' version of We Are!) of One Piece is finally here, Crazy Rainbow, causing Brand New World, the sixth opening, to be the opening least in episodes, at only fifteen, compared to We Are! of around fifty or Believe of around seventy.

Here are my comments on it, as blunt as it may be.

Video-wise, most of them are just about the seven Straw Hats, Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Sanji, Chopper, Robin and Usopp.

Why still Going Merry? At most it is only going to make one more appearance in the anime, to get everyone outta Enies Lobby, then it will be given a funeral by incinerating it. The Going Merry is a goner, get used to it. Especially after the sixteenth or seventeenth or so ending featuring a sad song with Going Merry's memories and it being swept into Aqua Laguna, now it comes back again in eighth opening? This is plain ridiculous. The Going Merry is history.

And why still Usopp? For fuck's sake, as Garp puts it, Usopp left the Straw Hats in Water 7, and even now in the latest manga, Usopp still haven't rejoin yet! Right, Usopp did help the Straw Hats in Enies Lobby as Sogeking, although doing a very great job, though you still gotta admit that burning down the enemies' flag, recruiting two whole freaking giants and holding his ground against Jyabura (until Sanji comes and kick his ass, literally) was quite impressive. I blame Luffy and Franky for defeating two CP9 members each though, causing Sogeking to have defeated no CP9. Anyway, to be on topic, Usopp indeed left the crew. It may be alright to show Sogeking as an ally, but Usopp, who had to resort to closely guarding his identity now? Then again, only Luffy and Chopper still don't know who Sogeking actually is, lol.

Since this is an opening during Enies Lobby, why are there only seven main characters in the video when the Straw Hats are aided by strong and powerful allies? What about Franky or Paulie, speculated to be the eighth Straw Hat, especially Franky, who helped defeated two freaking CP9, Nero and Fukurou, when the only one who took down two CP9 members other than Franky is Captain Luffy (Blueno and Lucci)? And what about the others? Zambai, Kiwi, Mozu and the rest of the Franky Family? Lulu, Tilestone, Iceburg and Galley-La Company? Kokoro, Chimney and Gonbe, who assist the Straw Hats, Franky Family and Galley-La forces to Enies Lobby? Oimo and Kaashi, vital in helping Galley-La Company against the thousands of Marines and soldiers in Enies Lobby? Even the enemies, Spandam, Lucci and the rest of the CP9? Nope, none of them made it to the opening. Gee. At least the fifth opening features the Franky Family (being thrashed by Zoro rofl), the Galley-La Company (though very short picture) and Kokoro, Chimney and Gonbe, and the sixth opening featuring the CP9.

What about other important characters who were mainly not in the arc, or in the arc but after they escaped Enies Lobby? No Smoker, no Tashigi, no Aokiji, no Blackbeard, no Dragon, no Garp (though Luffy's grandfather didn't really appear in any opening lol), no Whitebeard, no Vivi? Just three, Mihawk, Shanks and Ace? Wow.

And even though this opening is shown during the Enies Lobby, when the Straw Hats actually make combat with the CP9, does it show the intense of the arc? Does it show Luffy going Gear Third? Zoro going Nine-Swords-Style? Sanji doing Diable Jump? Chopper doing Monster Point (the one in sixth opening was a very brief one and only shows the head, lol)? We've basically seen Nami's Perfect Clima Tact in action (Sanji: That shock you gave me reminds me of the time we first met, Nami-san!) and Sogeking's Kabuto too (Sogeking: My newest weapon, the Great Pachinko, that goes by the name of Kabuto! Witness closely its firepower! Hissatsu Fire Bird Star!!).

Then again, did it show any types of combat? Maybe other than being attacked by a lousy, useless and random pirate crew, and that is only Zoro repelling a cannonball back (with a Pound Cannon I think, too fast) I believe, and Luffy doing Gomu Gomu no Fuusen (Balloon) to rebound another cannonball back and then Gomu Gomu no Rocket to the enemy ship and a Gomu Gomu no Gatling Gun to finish them. How lame.

As for the music, yet another complete failure. The previous six One Piece openings have attractive music, but Crazy Rainbow just sounds like most of those lame endings.

And I can't believe Brand New World only went for 15 episodes. They should use it for the entire Enies Lobby arc. Nice video, great music.

Pfft. Whatever.

One Piece Interesting Conversation

An interesting conversation that took place in Water 7 between Luffy and his grandfather Garp at the first page of One Piece Manga Chapter 433.

Garp: Anyway, I only came along for the sake of those two guys. Go on and... talk at leisure with them. I'm going home.
Luffy: Okay, see ya!
*Garp punches Luffy*
Garp: THAT'S WAY TOO CASUAL!
Luffy: AUGH!
Garp: Show some regret, you idiot! I am your long separated grandpa, for fuck's sake!
Luffy: Well, what the heck did you expect? All you've been doing is beating me up!
Garp: That's just 'cause I'm showing my love for my grandson!
Nami: Feels like an amazing ego runs in the family...
