One Piece 299

The episode begins with a recap of 298. Nami drags Sogeking away, while Jyabura walks towards Sanji, having previously sent him flying out of the "wolf's den". Sogeking realizes what he can do and starts to run away. Spandam insults Robin, threatening him with Funk Freed and saying that she has no hope left. Luffy and Lucci continues to fight, where Luffy is obviously getting owned, though the rubber man did not even bear the thought of giving up. The scene shifts back to Sanji and Jyabura.
"I don't intend to run... I don't intend to be killed... I don't intend to forgive you."
-Sanji
After a lot of conversation, Sanji and Jyabura continue their fight. Sanji then kicks Jyabura with a burning leg (it did not show how he 'activates' Diable Jambe), then finally finishing the fight with a Flambage Shot, sending the poor wolf crashing into the ground and thereby, losing the fight together with some of the CP9. Sanji gives his victory speech.

A Furious Attack of Drawn Swords! Zoro Vs Kaku: A Powerful Slashing Duel

Sanji pants, clearly exhausted as he looks upwards. Zoro launches himself at Kaku and unleashes an Oni Giri attack, causing a great blast of wind and the sliced Judicial Tower to slide downwards even worse. A few stones rain down on Sanji, who dodges them easily. He wonders whether the marimo (Zoro) and the giraffe (Kaku) are trying to collapse this tower and runs off, seeing yellow paint on the wall indicating the direction that he should follow to get to the Gate of Justice. Sanji believes that Nami has already headed to Robin, and looking down at the Number 1 Key he is holding in his hand, knows that he needs to hurry and get the key over there as well. Grabbing the key tightly, Sanji decides that he should go.

The scene shifts to Robin and Spandam. The panda bastard is pulling Robin's hair as he walks up the stairs, asking her to walk faster as he pants. They finally reached the Bridge of Hesistation, and Spandam laughed evilly. Robin's eyes widen with shock as the huge thing in front of her is none other than the Gate of Justice, starting to open. Spandam believes that he would be the world's hero after this entire event as he crosses the Bridge, noting to Robin that the bridge leading to the Gate is being raised now. Spandam laughs again, believe that his path is a path to a "bright future" and that Robin's path is a path to "hell". Robin imagines getting sucked into the Gate of Justice and attempts to struggle, ramming into Spandam and running away, but tripping a few steps later. The panda bastard steps on her head, obviously pissed off by Robin as he insults her some more. (I bet that he is going to be the most hated villain in One Piece.) Robin thinks of her nakama, desperately believing that they would come.

Scene changes to Franky, running through the underwater passage leading to the Bridge of Hesistation, noting that there he must hurry and that there is no point if he does not make it in time. He sees a shining light in front of him and asks what it is, rushing towards it.

Scene changes to aboard one of the ten Marine battleships summoned by the Buster Call. A Marine notes that they only have ten minutes until arrival at Enies Lobby.

Scene changes back to Spandam and Robin. Spandam pulls Robin's hair again, dragging her to walk as the bridge is raised.

Back to Franky. He arrives in the room where Luffy and Lucci is fighting in, and upon immediately arrival, had to use his gigantic hands to block the smoke that erupted when Luffy crashes into a nearby wall. Franky, after a brief argument with Luffy (due to events happening in Water 7), realizes that Luffy is fighting Lucci and that he is having trouble (here we can see how tall Franky is compared to Luffy). Franky asks where Robin is and whether Luffy needs help as he raises his left hand, ready to attack. Luffy confidently replies with a no, asking Franky to stop Robin and informing him that he is able to get to the Gate of Justice through the door behind Lucci. Luffy then assures that he will take care of Lucci. Franky smiles in response, asking him to leave it to him. Lucci smiles evilly.

Back to Zoro and Kaku. Zoro's attack is once again blocked by Kaku's huge and long nose. Kaku once again states that he prefers meat, though Zoro still continues to insult the giraffe by calling him a herbivore. He ties his olive green bandana and unleashes a chain of Nitouryuu attacks, Nigiri, Tourou, Outourou, Hirameki and finally Samon, all seemingly ineffective against Kaku, though they are still badass projectile attacks. Kaku replies with a Kama Kirin, flinging Zoro away. Kaku then activates Tekkai Mushikaku and twists his neck into a cube (accompanied by sound effects of a robot transforming, making the scene very funny), having no "weak spots". 'Cube' and 'weak pots' are both pronounced 'shikaku', thus making it a pun (not forgetting Kaku is the user's name). Of course, the attack is funny, so Zoro freaks out. Kaku calls Zoro naive. He starts thrashing his four legs in the air up and down (he's sitting down), shouting "Rankyaku". Zoro freaks out again, asking "Are you even trying to fight?!". Kaku asks where Zoro is looking, and that the attack has already begun. He explains that the attacks will bounce off the ceiling and rain down (he is sending projectiles formed by swinging his legs at high speed towards the ceiling). Zoro's eyes widen with shock, gritting his teeth, as he realizes it. Kaku shouts "Kiri Shigure!" and the projectile attacks rain on Zoro, the skilled swordsman deflecting and blocking them with rapid and fast swinging of his two swords, Sandai Kitetsu and Yubashiri. He quickly changes into defense position, covering his head, as he realizes that he could not block and deflect any more, blood rushing out of his cuts. Kaku then activates Tekkai as his own attack strikes him as well. Zoro curses, realizing that he is unable to block the attack, as more and more blood rushes out of him. Kaku smiles, totally unaffected by his attack (though that could mean Kaku's Rankyaku Kiri Shigure is unable to cut steel). Finally the attack stops, with Zoro panting, lots of slashes, cuts and blood on his bodies (though surprising his clothes are just a bit dirty). Kaku then unleashes a Bigan, Zoro blocking it by crossing his two swords, but was still flung backwards due to the sheer strength of the attack. Zoro stands up, panting even more (his slashes, cuts and blood have mysteriously disappeared). Kaku comments on Zoro's strength, noting that he is surprised. Zoro starts calling Kaku names (according to the translator, the entire conversation is a pun on Kaku's bizarre speech patterns, and unfortunately loses most of its humour when translated, thus I have no idea what is so funny about it). Zoro sheaths his swords, with more name calling, and takes out his Wadou Ichimonji, the katana together with its sheath (obviously he wants to unleash his Ittouryuu Iai: Shishi Sonson, finishing attack he used against Mr. 1 back in Arabasta, the finishing strike which is Zoro's only ability [to my knowledge] of cutting steel). Kaku states that Zoro will pay for insulting him (unwary of what Zoro has in his sleeves) and Zoro advises that Kaku prepare hismelf, since playtime is over. He shouts intimidatingly that he will break Kaku's Tekkai.

Commercial break, showing Robin and Zoro as eyecatches.

Kaku comments that Zoro's remark of breaking Tekkai is funny, doubting Zoro's strength. Zoro replies confidentally that he is able to do it, asking if he should try. Kaku stares at Zoro, looking unsure. Zoro spins his sword and sheath, preparing to unleash his attack as a gust of wind erupts from him. Zoro unleashes Shishi Sonson as Kaku unleashes Rankyaku Roudan. Nothing happens as the two attacks collides. Kaku comments that he is the one who decides whether or not to use Tekkai (unlike Jyabura, Kaku is totally unable to attack with Rankyaku or in fact any other attacks while activating Tekkai). Zoro comments that he shall has to go on this a completely different way. He exhales air out of his mouth and pumps his muscles similar to Chopper's Arm Point. He then draws his three swords and prepares for attack. Kaku asks whether it is a test of strength this time, then unleashes his Bigan. Zoro unleashes Nigori Zake, and the two attack collides. This time, Kaku gets flung off backwards as Zoro lands safely. Zoro remarks that Kaku could still be talking during a fight, and that he did not even consider that he could be defeated as well. Zoro then smiles, remarking that Kaku is too arrogant. Kaku gets pissed off.

Scene changes back to Luffy, Lucci and Franky. Luffy unleashes a Gomu Gomu no Gatling Gun, and Lucci dodges with Kami-e, while closing in on Luffy and stopping his two hands with his hand and leg. Luffy then does a Gomu Gomu no Pistol, but Lucci dodges with Soru, appearing from behind and kicking Luffy, aiming for his head. Luffy blocks with both hands swiftly, but still gets send flying backwards. Lucci then kicks Luffy's stomach, sending him flying into crates and almost hitting a running Franky. Franky then continues running for the door, but Lucci stops him with Rankyaku. Franky evades the first two and blocks the last. He charges out of the erupted smoke and unleashes a Weapons Left on Lucci, who dodges it with Soru. As Lucci prepares to punch Franky, Luffy quickly flies into Lucci with a Gomu Gomu no Rocket and interrupts Lucci. As Franky slides backwards due to impact, he asks what happened due to shock. Luffy then uses a Gomu Gomu no Bazooka on Lucci, who blocks it. Franky asks Luffy not to move as he aims his Weapons Left on Lucci, but Luffy asked him to wait, and to not do anything stupid, his arms locked against Lucci. He then advises Franky to just go, and said that he will take care of Lucci. Franky doubts Luffy's abilities, believing that they should work together, but Luffy shouts at Franky, stating that Lucci is HIS opponent and that he has to defeat him. He then urges Franky to hurry and go to Robin and to stop her. Luffy reminds Franky of what is at stake here, that Robin would be gone forever if Franky does not hurry. Franky then thinks of him stopping the Sea Train when Tom got captured (as Robin is about to face the same fate as Tom) and the Sea Train, Puffing Tom, knocking into him. Lucci calls the task impossible as he kicks Luffy vertically upwards, disappearing with a Soru and then appear between Luffy and Franky, stating that he would not allow Franky to go. Luffy stretches his hands and tied Lucci up with his hands. Lucci strrugles, as Luffy urges Franky to hurry. Franky nods and runs off, though Lucci shouts that he would not let Franky go. He jumps into the air, turns himself backwards and launches a Geppou, so that he will crash backwards into the ground, with Luffy behind him taking all of the damage. Luffy loosens his grip, being hurt by the attack (wow, Geppou as an offensive technique), and Lucci disappears with a Soru and appears in front of Franky, blocking his path towards the Bridge of Hesistation once again. Lucci then attacks Franky with Shigan, but Luffy grabs Lucci's arm and interrupts the attack with a stretched hand, panting. Luffy told Lucci angrily that he is Lucci's opponent, not Franky.

Scene changes back to Zoro and Kaku. Kaku tells Zoro that the latter has still not yet witnessed a giraffe's full potential. Zoro tells Kaku to bring it. Kaku compresses his neck backwards, his nose aiming at Zoro, shouting "Kirin Houdai!". Zoro explains that there is no giraffe like that, and Kaku unleashes a Kyoku Bigan Kiriman Jaro. Zoro evades it, in shock that the neck actually stretches. Zoro then explains that Kaku's long neck would be his weak spot as he prepares to slash, but Kaku states that it is not as he unleashes Rankyaku Neji Hakujin, cutting Zoro's swords (which are used by Zoro to block the attack, duh) like a blender. Zoro slides backwards due to impact as Kaku lands nosily. Kaku told Zoro that the latter is the one with weak spots, and Zoro asks what kind of animal Kaku is angrily. Kaku prepares another Kirin Houdai, threatening Zoro that he would not escape this time. His legs stretch as he stands up, surprising Zoro.
"Oh no, I pulled my neck in too far so my legs stretched out!"
-Kaku
"What the hell is with your body?!"
-Zoro
Kaku expresses that his body feels like wheat being turned into pasta in a pasta machine. Kaku decides to make it an attack, standing up, with long hands and legs, and shouting "Pasta Machine!". Zoro freaks out, telling Kaku not to name his attacks now. Kaku explains that having a long neck is nice, but there are many uses for long arms and legs as well (well, duh, just look at Luffy) and that he is an expert at taking even the most unexpected of situations and using it to his advantage, crossing his arms. Kaku's neck shoots out as his nose launches towards Zoro. Zoro freaks out, asking if that was all he could think of. Zoro unleashes Tatsu Maki, and Kaku quickly activates Tekkai, the tornado cutting Kaku's neck like a blender with ferocious power (okay, I got to think of something else other than 'blender' to describe a powerful, spiralling, slashing technique XD). Kaku decides to evade the attack with Soru, as Tatsu Maki cuts a hole in the ceiling. Kaku then uses Geppou to jump to the floor above and lands back on Zoro, equipping himself with the two swords he used during the beginning and which he left at the floor above and using Pasta Machine again. The two starts to get into a swordfight as the five swords clash with huge intensity, swinging and waving in the air. Zoro unleashes his strength with a burst and breaks the attack, stopping Kaku's swords.
"Even if giraffes are the most powerful... Even if you can fully use that annoying neck... Even if you are a Yontouryuu user... You still have no chance of defeating me!"
-Zoro
TO BE CONTINUED

Next episode shall shows Zoro going Kyuutoryuu. Whee!

My heart is in a million pieces... Enormous pain inside me... Really crying inside... Depressed, sad...
