And when I first read it in the manga, I thought it was just the sword creates an icy aura, and when Rukia swings the sword in an arc, the icy wind flies out towards the opponent and freezes him, lol.

In episode 150, while Renji recites the big battle ceremony ritual, he said "Tatoe ayumi wa hanarete, tetsu no kokoro wa tomo ni aru!" instead of the correct "Tatoe ayumi wa hanarete mo, tetsu no kokoro wa tomo ni aru!", though it was corrected in the episode recap in episode 151. Maybe this will get corrected too next episode?
