Battle-Hungry Beast

A battle-hungry beast searches for his prey in order to fight

Meh, woke up half an hour late this morning. My laziness really made sure that I stayed lying on my mattress. Oh well, just one more day to go left. I'm sick and tired of waking up so early in the morning. I wanna sleep more!!

Waking up late, plus being forced to take a shower by my mother, effectively made me late for work, but yet, I still found the time to take this photo as I walk to the factory from the bus stop outside the industrial park. XD

Just when I thought yesterday's huge amount of workload was just a temporary surge, today's amount was rather huge as well. Eight pallets full of them. Oh, gee. And oh, one of them, according to Andy, "looked like a pyramid". It really does resemble a pyramid, haha, so I took a photo of it so I can blog about it here. XD

I just hope that the people seeing me take this photo don't give too much thought about how weird I am.

Both Adrian and Sin Wei took leaves and didn't come today for some reason. I don't like it how neither of them didn't bother to at least tell me about it. T_T

Remember the "Bakudou no Kyuu-Juu-Hachi (缚道の九十八; Way of Binding, number Ninety-Eight)! Barrier of Seven Keep Out Signs!!" that I blogged about two days ago? Well, today, during breakfast, I approached it for a closer look. It turns out that underground, beneath the layer of wood covering it, is hollow. Second uncle theorized that they are probably constructing a drain down there or something. I took a photo. o.O

I figured that I should take a picture with second uncle as well, haha, since no one can reject the idea that we have already became nakama as well, haha. XD I told Kim Hui to take a photo for us. XD

But I thought that I should do it myself, since Kim Hui doesn't know how to use auto-focus, lol (there should be an option in handphones whether to forcibly use auto-focus no matter what button is pressed or not).

Unfortunately, I have bad aiming and accuracy. ;_; Oh well, no wonder both my styles of fighting (brandishing a sword, and kicking) don't particularly require me to be excellent in accuracy. XD

Took another one. This one turns out good, haha.

Just as we were leaving for lunch, Kim Hui told me that he wants to eat at the coffee shop across the road, while I wanted to eat at the coffee shop beside the factory. Expectedly, second uncle also went along with Kim Hui, since he is a vegetarian, and that there is no vegetarian stall in the coffee shop beside the factory, so he has to go to the coffee shop across the road for lunch. Even Deck Deng went along with them, lol, so I really had no choice but to go along with them. ^_^"

Lol, while the both of us are buying chicken rice together during lunch, Deck Deng realized and pointed out the fact that both of us happened to be wearing white shirts, both bought from Bossini. XD! Haha, what a delightful coincidence! XD

I realized that Deck Deng is probably the only one left among my nakama at work that I haven't take a picture together with me yet (Sin Wei as well, but last time I attempted it, he almost snapped my arm into two, making me cry out in pain, and rather unfortunately, I want my freaking arm -.-), so I told him to take a picture with me. He agreed much faster than I expected. XD

Though what the hell is with him drinking from his cup while posing for a photo?

I told second uncle to help us take the picture instead, but he mistook the volume up button (which is also the zoom in button when in camera function) as the camera shuttle button and pressed it, resulting in this picture... -.-

Told him to take another one again, haha. I'm such a fussy kid. XP

On the way back after lunch, our group encountered a dog.

(Didn't bother to walk up to the dog so as to take a picture of its front, k? So its back will do -.-)

Second uncle said that the dog is aggressive and can fight. Oh...?

Sounds like an interesting fight. Let's go!

*imagines in my mind, second uncle preparing to cast protective charms and defensive spells, Kim Hui taking an arrow out of his quiver and pulls his bowstring tightly, Deck Deng... Hmmm... I haven't think up of something for him yet... Ah! Got it! Deck Deng pulling shuriken out of his left pocket, while his right hand grips onto his kunai tightly, and me, clapping my hands and drawing my sword out of my left hand with magic* XD

After we got into the factory through the staff-exclusive door, Kim Hui, second uncle and I climbed up the staircases. I find it a bit weird. Why is the magician (second uncle) in the lead, with the archer (Kim Hui) second behind, and the warrior (me) last? Isn't the warrior supposed to lead, so he can tank the monsters? o.O

Kim Hui spent the rest of the lunch break sleeping, and me, in all of my cheekiness, took two photos of that. XD The first one was of his back (so I don't get that screwed if he is just pretending to be sleeping and caught me), while the second one was of his front. XD

I showed it to second uncle and both of our laughter attracted some attention, lol, so I showed the picture to a curious auntie working in the same line as second uncle. She said, "Post on the Internet!" Which is what exactly I was planning to do then, and what I did now. Oops. :x

Without really bothering to give a thought about it, I just realized that today happens to be 29 February, a date that comes only once every four years. Would really suck to be born on today, in my opinions, since you would only get to celebrate your birthday once every four years. Or fuck it, I'll say and celebrate your birthday on either 28 February or 1 March on those three out of four years with no 29 February. XD

Oh, and now that I thought about it, I just realized how amazing my watch is. I was expecting it to not know that 2008 is a leap year, and simply skip directly to show 1 March as the date. Who would have know that it is currently showing 2-29 right now, lol? XD

I was rather bored, so I figured that I would take a picture while on board the bus from the factory to Tampines MRT Station, especially since this might be the last second time I would be on board this bus (provided everything goes well tomorrow, and that I can catch this bus home again tomorrow -.-).

Met up with Hong Wei at the bus stop at Tampines Mart, so I can return him the money from sub that I have been keeping for him. Seeing Hong Wei was wearing a white T-shirt and a white pair of long pants (those pants were part of his secondary school's uniform XD), and realizing that I was also wearing a white shirt (my workplace demands that we wear white every Friday, though apparently, they are changing it to blue starting from next week... Not like I care), I went, "Wah! You know I wear white then you also wear white ah? Steady ah you! Both of us from PAP one nia!" XD

Stupid ATM machine I went to, can't spit ten-dollar notes out, so I had to go to another. -.-

We went to my house. We were originally intending to play basketball, but I thought of asking him to try Risk II out, since ever since downloading the game, I haven't get to play with someone else yet, lol, so I thought of giving it a try.

We played two games. First one was a same-time mode game, on capturing capitals. It was just so sad that both of us happened to be targeting on conquering the whole of Australia, where we put our capitals, haha. Just for those extra reinforcements, the two of us had a fierce fight for control in Australia, with me eventually winning, so I got two capitals in the beginning. :D

The other two opponents, which were controlled by computer AI, were like us. They both put their capitals in Europe (next to each other some more. One in Ukraine, the other in Northern Europe), and of course, they really fought like hell, haha. So I slowly advanced my troops from Australia, conquering South America for more reinforcements. I also made use of the fact that Random Deal gave me three territories in North America (which Hong Wei wants control of the continent), so I just deployed some troops there to attack Europe (after moving forward, I let Hong Wei have the territories I leave behind XD). I was also trying to conquer some parts of Asia from Australia, so I can attack Europe from the southeast as well, but my American assault force from the northwest was faster, haha, and before I realized it, all four capitals are in my possession, and I won the game. XD

I wanted to go play basketball after the first game, but Hong Wei's fatigue, combined with his laziness to walk to the gas station so as to get my basketball pumped out (it's been out of air because I haven't been playing basketball for so long -.-), led us to start a second game. Damn, I really wanted to play basketball. =.=

Second game was a classic game, with mission as world domination. The two of us, with three computer players. We worked together to eliminate the computers, haha (they are a good source of Risk cards ), then the two of us proceeded to have a 1-on-1 showdown. XD Took some screenshots.

Oh, and I'm the blue player, while Hong Wei is white, by the way.

Pwnage pl0x? :D

After the game, he was preparing to leave, while I told him to get over and let's take some pictures together. XD

He was talking to my father, so he wasn't looking into the camera. -.-

And oi! Is that the V sign?! -.-

Hong Wei looks so tired in this one. XD

After Hong Wei decides to leave and go home, I went along with him, seeing him to the bus stop. Well, that's what a good friend should do, I figured. :)

My elderly neighbour from China was at the lift lobby when we went there, so I figured that I would have a little chat with him while waiting for the lift to arrive. I had to keep repeating, "Huh?", because I am not used to his China accent, haha (typically, a Singaporean Chinese speaks the same Chinese language in a different way than a Chinese from China). I told Hong Wei of that particular difficulty when chatting with my neighbour after we got on the lift, and he asked me, "Then how do you know what I am saying?"

Wondering what nonsense he is blabbering inside my mind (XP), I pointed out the obvious, "But you are a Singaporean!" He told me that he often gets mistaken for a Chinese (the nationality, not the race ^_^"). That made me laugh hysterically hard, haha, so hard that it even frightens me myself. ^_^

When the lift reaches the first floor, the lift door opens, and outside was a Malay boy with a weird reaction. Interpreting that his reaction was because he heard my rather scary laugh (haha, but I can't help it either. ^_^" Who the hell would mistake Hong Wei as someone from China? XD), I stared at him in such a fierce way that I would be surprised if he does not think, "Shit! That guy is staring at me as if he wants to kill me!"

I continued the stare even as Hong Wei and I walked out of the lift lobby and towards the bus stop. In the end, after the Malay boy got it, and after the lift door closes, I saw him raise his hand and wave at me. That obviously means, "Hello.", but I am interpreting it as, "Peace! Sorry, sorry! I want my life! Spare me, please!", and no matter what you say, you cannot change my opinions of that.

After seeing him off, I went back, and saw this on the notice board at my void deck.

Since social means "spent in or marked by friendly relations or companionship", vandalism and graffiti, which are anti-social acts, are acts done by people who have no friendly relations or companionships, right? What if a group of people vandalize and graffiti together, as a social activity? Would that be considered a social act or an anti-social act? O.o

Oxymoron hurts my brain.

Yay, French fries for dinner! :D My mother cooked some for Hong Wei too, but he only ate two pieces before running off. XD

Naruto chapter 391 came out one day earlier than expected. :O

Lol, I thought that Sasuke would have win against Itachi, with that new lightning Ninjutsu that he came out with, named Kirin, using electricity from a thundercloud, but nope. It seems as if Itachi has something to pull out of his ass as well.

Ah, I've finished reading MÄR. Quite a predictable good ending. The good guys beat all the bad guys up, everything resolves on its own, all are happy. Yay. The manga would be a lot better if more than half of it was not to those stupid War Games. It's practically just fights after fights after fights just for the sake of fighting. *rolls eyes*

I can't help but think of Vernon when I saw Alviss' expression. That's basically just a ripoff from Vernon's signature expression, the "-.-", man!

Last picture of Dorothy-chan before this manga ends. I'll miss you, Dorothy-chan! T_T

Hmmm, I would read MÄR Omega, but right now there's only thirteen chapters... So maybe I'll read it once more chapters come out. Meanwhile, I guess I'll start reading a new series - Fairy Tail. I've been wanting to read the series ever since I saw some of its volumes being sold in Popular when I went there to check if any new volumes for the manga that I was reading then had came out. Especially since the drawing, as I noticed from the volume covers, look so much as if it is drawn by Oda-sensei (author of One Piece) that I spent some time checking the name of the author to see if it is Oda-sensei! XD

Hmmmm, no wonder. I went to check the Wikipedia article on Mashima Hiro, the author of Fairy Tail, and here this sentence says, "His drawing style is greatly influenced by that of Eiichiro Oda." No wonder. XD

Oh, and I found something ironic. After finishing MÄR (which stands for "Märchen Awakens Romance"), I am going to start reading Fairy Tale. The irony here is that "Märchen" means "fairy tail" in German, and "Fairy Tale" sounds like "fairy tail". XD
